Bidder (auctions)

The bidder runs in Bid and Both mode. It shares the sniper’s pacing, breaks, limits and cooldowns. Its settings are in Settings → Bidding.

The bid cap: never past your profit

For every card, SnipeBid works out the most it will ever bid. It is the lowest of:

• Market price × bid % (the Bid up to slider, default 95%, or the target’s own %), plus the adaptive tweak if that’s on.
• Sell price after the 5% tax, minus your minimum profit (Min profit per flip, default 50). This keeps every bid profitable.
• Your max price for items and filters.

On top of that, a bid is only placed if you can afford it: your coins minus Keep at least, and within the share of coins that may be tied up in bids (see coin limits).

The Targets tab shows the cap as Bid ≤ on each row, highlighted when your minimum profit is what limits it.

Which auctions it bids on

• Only auctions that end within your Bid window (seconds), default 180 s.
• Not too close to the end. With Final push on, an auction needs at least push window + 10 s left (30 s with the defaults), so there is time to answer an outbid. With it off, at least 13 s (the minimum expiry of 8 s plus 5).
• The next bid must be at or under your cap.
• It prefers auctions close to a sweet spot just above that minimum, then the cheapest next bid.
• One bid per pass, like a person working down the list.

The first bid goes straight to your cap when the next price step is the last one below it, so a rival can’t take it by bidding exactly your max.

Counter-bids and the final push

SnipeBid checks your watchlist regularly. When you are outbid:

1. Counter-bid one price step up, if Counter-bid when outbid is on, you have counter-bids left (Counter-bids per auction, default 2) and the next step is still under your cap.
2. Final push: with 🚀 Final push to max on, once the counter-bids are used up, or when you are outbid with less than Push early if ending within (s) left (default 20 s), SnipeBid bids straight to the most it can afford for that card, once.
3. Walk away. After that, or if the price is past your cap, the row shows Outbid · walked away. No bidding wars.

Counter-bids are never placed with less than Stop counter-bidding under (s) left (8 seconds by default, in Settings › Bidding). During an EA cooldown they wait, and are tried after it if there is still time.

• Late outbids are caught. In the last stretch of an auction you can still answer (push window + 15 s, so 35 s with the defaults), SnipeBid checks the watchlist every few seconds instead of every 25.
• Rejected counter-bid? Usually someone bid in between. SnipeBid reads the auction’s current bid and tries once more, still inside your cap.
• Outbid while your bid was on its way: SnipeBid looks again right away instead of waiting for the next check.

Coin limits

When a limit is hit, the log says so (at most once a minute) and the status pill shows bid slots full or coins tied up in bids.

Adaptive bidding

Off by default. When on, SnipeBid looks at your last 6 auction results for each player (it needs at least 4):

• Winning 70% or more: it bids 1% lower next time, down to −8%.
• Winning 25% or less: it bids 1% higher, up to +5%.

The profit floor still applies, so adaptive bidding never bids past your minimum profit. The row shows ▲ or ▼ when it moved.

Watchlist checks, wins and losses

• While you have open bids, the watchlist is checked every 25 seconds, plus just before each auction ends (12–18 seconds before) and right after it ends. With no open bids in Bid or Both mode, it is checked about every 2.5 minutes.
• Won: logged, counted and handled for you (see Won items below).
• Lost: cleared from your watchlist.
• Bids you placed by hand on a target card are found on the watchlist and tracked, so a win gets listed. SnipeBid never counter-bids on them.

Won items, handled automatically

With Auto-handle won items on (Settings → Selling, on by default), SnipeBid deals with everything that ends in your Transfer Targets. It runs while the bot runs (every 6–9 minutes and with each relist check), and every time you open Transfer Targets in the web app, even with the bot stopped.

• Won, tradeable cards are moved to your Transfer List and listed: at the target’s or filter’s sell price, otherwise at Bulk list at % of price of the SnipeBid price, inside EA’s price range.
• Never listed at a loss. If the Buy Now price after the 5% tax would not cover the winning bid, the card is kept on your Transfer List unlisted (or sent to your club when the Transfer List is full), and the log says so.
• No SnipeBid price (for example consumables and other items): the card goes where Won items without a price says, Club (default) or Transfer list (unlisted). If the club refuses it (usually a duplicate), it is left on the Transfer List unlisted.
• Expired and lost auctions are cleared from Transfer Targets.
• Nothing is ever quick sold, and auctions that are still running are never touched.

Everything uses the normal pacing. If EA puts you in a cooldown, it stops and picks up the rest next time. Wins of your bid targets still go through the bot’s own listing, so nothing is handled twice.

On EA’s Transfer Targets screen, a SnipeBid bar at the top shows what was done last, for example Auto-handled: 3 won → 2 listed (~28K), 1 to club · 5 expired cleared. Check now runs it right away.

The Bids tab

Shows open bids out of your max, coins locked in bids, wins and win rate for the session, and every auction with its state, your bid, the current cap (▲▼ if the market moved since), a live countdown and where a won card ended up. Finished auctions stay listed for 15 minutes.

An outbid row never just says “Outbid”. Common reasons:

• bids are now 12K, above your cap 11.5K: the price passed the most you would pay at a profit.
• counter-bid limit 2 reached and final push used: it walked away on purpose.
• not enough free coins for … / coin limit: 100% already in open bids: see coin limits.
• only 6s left (your minimum is 8s): too late to answer.
• paused (cooldown): tried again after the cooldown if time is left.
• counter-bid rejected — … / counter-bid not placed — …: EA refused it; the reason is EA’s.
• counter-bidding is off (Settings → Bidding), its target or filter was removed (or has no price), bid not placed by SnipeBid (your own bid) or bot stopped.
